Trees

Trees play a large part of our forest school journey from planting to climbing and everything in between. We are very lucky to have a beautiful woodland on our borders  and we are encouraging the woodland into our school by planting our very own forest in school.  Our children have planted 850 trees on site and we have plans for many more. This gives us the opportunity to teach the children about the benefits of trees and how to look after them. We have utilised the Woodland Trust’s free trees for school scheme for the majority we have planted.

We have planted several new fruit trees creating an orchard site behind the KS2 car park, children enjoyed picking and eating our fruit during forest sessions.
