Leighswood School Parent Teachers Association’s (PTA) aim is to raise money so we can purchase items for the children.

In recent years we have bought sound systems for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 halls, benches for the playground, new play equipment, books for the libraries, wet play suits and play time games. We had a canopy fitted on the Key Stage 2 playground last year which is is available for all children in school time and parents when the weather is not good, when collecting children.  This year we have provided a reading book for all children in KS1 and KS2 to take home, and defibrillators for KS1 and KS2.

Our main fundraising event is the Summer Fair each year. As well as a range of fundraising activities during the evening we have a Grand Prize Draw raffle with a wide variety of prizes. Donation days will be held throughout the summer term.

We organise other events throughout the school year, including school discos for the children, which are always a huge hit.  Please look at our latest newsletter below for more information.

Leighswood PTA meets three evenings throughout the school year – in September, January and April. The PTA consists of members of staff and parents from the school. The meetings last about an hour. This is your opportunity to meet and chat with other parents and teachers and to suggest new ways of raising money.
