Nursery  - Two Year old Provision Funded and paid places available

Our fantastic provision for 2 year olds is now accessible to parents who are entitled to 15 hours free funding or to parents who wish to pay for sessions.  If you think you may be entitled to 2 year old funding please contact Walsall Family Information Services on 01922 653383 to obtain your unique funding code.

15 hours are offered as either 5 morning sessions per week (8.45am-11.45am) OR 5 afternoon sessions per week (12.30-3.30pm).  We encourage parents to adopt this set routine for their children to enable a smooth transition into school Nursery.

The provision allows children to explore and become more confident and independent whilst enjoying play. Stimulating activities will help to promote their personal development and build on their communication & social skills.

The children in Acorn Room have access to a wide variety of experiences, including; messy play, water play, crafts, play that develops their fine & gross motor skills, small world play & role play.

Outdoor learning is a big part of our school ethos and we explore our wonderful wild area in all weathers. Children love to explore the environment and learn about nature, enjoy riding on the bikes and scooters and playing in the mud kitchen.

The children are encouraged to become more independent with every day activities, including, putting on their shoes & coat, washing their hands, using the toilet and choosing from food options at snack time.

To apply for a place please complete our application form which can be found on the website and contact a member of Childcare office staff on 01922 457186 or by email childcare@leighswood.walsall.sch.uk
