The School Day

Our school day begins at 8:45am every day. All pupils are expected to be on site by this time but the classroom doors will remain open until 8:55am so those with siblings and family members can be dropped off. We expect all of our children to be in class ready for registration by 8.55. 

All children have a 45-minute dinner break. For children in Reception to Year 3 this is between 11:45am and 12:30pm. For  children in Years 4-6 this is between 12:30pm and 1:15pm

The school day finishes at 3:15pm each day for all of our classes. Children must be collected by a named and known adult over the age of 18. We understand that last minute changes may occur. If there are any issues with collecting your child on time , or you need to change the named adult, please call school so we can ensure that the safety and wellbeing of your child is never compromised.

Following the Easter holidays, children in Year 6 may walk home alone in preparation for High School with the express consent of their adults. Due to the busy road network around school ,no children from younger year groups are permitted to walk home alone at the end of the day.

In line with Government expectations, all children of compulsory school age are expected to be in school for 6:5 hours per day (or 32.5 hours per week) for 190 days in each academic year.

Nursery

The morning session runs from 8:45am until 11:45am

The afternoon session runs from 12:30pm until 3:30pm

For our 30 hour children , the day begins at 8.45 and finishes at 3.15 each day.
